You start Sakina with a long tail cast-on and then work from the bottom up. You knit the two-colour Brioche pattern with only one colour per round alternating them. The crown of the hat is shaped with centred 4-stitch decreases.
Sakina is a design from our 2023 collection. In these turbulent times, there is much cause for reflection. And especially the desire for serenity and calm, for light-heartedness and peace. We have therefore named the designs in this collection after this longing, in different languages. The Arabic word Sakina describes a state of peace of mind.
