Craft: Knitting
This open-front jacket, featuring straight front edges and a pattern of half-brioche and cable blocks, is knitted in one piece from the bottom up to the underarms. The front and back sections are then worked separately, with short rows used to shape the sloping shoulders. Finally, the front and back sections are joined and bound off simultaneously using the three-needle bind-off technique.
The sleeves are knitted separately—working back and forth in rows and using only the half-brioche stitch—and then sewn in. The length of the jacket can be customized by adding or removing one or two pattern repeats (approx. 7.5 cm each).
